Ouba will teach online reputation at Ircom after the 2012 summer holliday !

(23/01/2012, article in French)

The French school of Communications and Public Relations Ircom will soon offer its Master students the possibility to study e-reputation.

Because of the advent of web 2.0, social networks and growing needs of small businesses, online reputation formations are starting to be given to students.
In September 2012, the Mac Luhan Institute, the Communications school of Ircom (Angers, France), will then give its students the possibility to study e-reputation. Added to courses on change management, these trainings will enrich the communications courses already offered to Master students.

This Communications Master will provide a combined work / training scheme in the form of a professionalization contract or a long part-time internship. The training period at Ircom will be of 75 days, i.e. 525 hours, about one week per month. These trainings will be given by web 2.0 and social networks professionals, in partnership with the web agency Ouba buzz.

This new option will give students the opportunity to understand and use elements that are necessary to manage a company’s online reputation. It will also allow them to incorporate the social networks presence in institution’s strategy.
Mr. Maxence HENRY, Director of the Mac Luhan Institute, explains : « Because of the omnipresence of web and social networks, companies don’t have the choice anymore: if they don’t manage their online reputation, others will do it for them. »

There are two possibilities to integrate this Communications Master :

  • for an integration in the first year of the Master’s degree: holding a two year degree after the baccalaureate or having five years of experience,
  • for an integration in the second year of the Master’s degree: after passing an entrance examination, either holding a four year degree in communications or a three year degree plus three years of professional experience in communications.
